To achieve this goal, Foton Motor will accelerate its overseas industrialization investment. In the next five years, it will build over 10 industrialization bases in Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the European Union and other regions. It will also establish an ecological business system covering parts, used cars, fleet management and other areas, continuously optimize its product matrix, promote the synergy between direct sales and distribution, build a world-class quality system, and continuously enhance the competitiveness of its products and customer satisfaction, moving towards the goal of becoming a world-class commercial vehicle enterprise.
Focusing on the trend analysis of the global commercial vehicle market, as well as the future technology layout and product planning of Foton Motor, Lu Zhenghua, the executive vice president of Foton Motor, stated: "The Chinese commercial vehicle industry has rapidly advanced from a 'market participant' to a 'global technology leader'. The current three major characteristics are the rapid increase in the penetration rate of new energy, the accelerated development of intelligence, and the coexistence of multiple energy routes. Foton Motor closely follows this trend and has established the strategic direction of 'comprehensive internationalization, comprehensive new energy, and comprehensive intelligence', adhering to the 'three-pronged' approach of pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel."
In the field of new energy, the self-developed Aiyike three-electric systems of Foton have passed multiple extreme tests, with the peak efficiency of the motor reaching 97.7%. Its hybrid technology covers 12 typical working conditions, and the demonstration scale of hydrogen fuel cells has reached 3,600 vehicles. In terms of intelligent driving, the HWP highway navigation technology can effectively reduce driver fatigue, and the intelligent cabin has become a "mobile productivity platform" empowered by AI. In terms of products, Foton not only develops new energy-specific platforms but also continuously iterates traditional platforms, building a product competitiveness that covers the global market.
Under the guidance of the comprehensive intelligentization strategy, Liu Xuguang, the deputy general manager and spokesperson of Foton Motor, pointed out in the "Aftermarket Ecosystem Strategy" report: "Based on Foton Motor's aftermarket ecosystem strategy, the company focuses on the rapid development opportunities of the Chinese aftermarket, builds differentiated competitiveness around 'vehicles + Internet of Vehicles', and promotes the full digitalization and ecosystemization of business." Currently, the Internet of Vehicles platform has connected data from over 3.16 million vehicles and serves more than 4,500 logistics enterprises. Through functions such as intelligent dispatching, remote diagnosis, and driving behavior analysis, it has achieved a 10% increase in operational efficiency and a 40% reduction in accident risks. In the leasing, maintenance and parts supply, and used car sectors, the company strengthens the synergy between channels and platforms, expands the charging pile network, and promotes data value-added. In terms of overseas business, Foton actively lays out digital and intelligent platforms and energy replenishment networks, strengthens the construction of parts warehouse networks, supports dealers in conducting used car and leasing businesses, and continuously builds a global vehicle ecosystem service system, moving towards becoming a world-class commercial vehicle enterprise.
