Will Foton Motor seek a first-class new chapter in mid-2025?

  On July 28, at the critical juncture of accelerating the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry, Foton Motor held the 2025 Mid-Year Business Conference with the theme of "Striving to Create a World-Class Commercial Vehicle Enterprise". The meeting not only conducted a comprehensive review of the operating results in the first half of the year, but also planned the layout for the second half of the year and long-term development, and made every effort to draw a new chapter of "first-class".

  In the first half of this year, Foton Motor's achievements were impressive. The total sales reached 327,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%. Among them, heavy-duty truck sales were nearly 67,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 74.3%; the sales of new energy models exceeded 50,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 151%, and all operating indicators reached new highs. This is due to Foton Motor's continuous promotion of strategic transformation, deepening marketing reforms, and strengthening product competitiveness, laying a solid foundation for the strategy of "striving for world-class".

At the mid-year business meeting, Foton Motor clarified the core direction of future development. Chairman Chang Rui pointed out in the keynote report that the global commercial vehicle industry is undergoing profound changes, and all Foton people need to anchor the goal of "striving to become a world-class commercial vehicle enterprise". To this end, Foton will firmly promote the three major strategies of "comprehensive internationalization, comprehensive new energy and comprehensive intelligence", and deepen matrix organizational management innovation in the fields of marketing, R&D and manufacturing.

During the first phase of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Foton Motor plans to achieve annual sales of 1 million units, and by 2030, the proportion of new energy sales will increase to 50%; during the second phase of the "16th Five-Year Plan" to the "17th Five-Year Plan" period, it will achieve high-quality and connotative growth, and reach the world-class level in terms of manufacturing quality, corporate reputation, and talent ability.

In order to promote the implementation of the strategy, Chang Rui emphasized that in the second half of the year, it will focus on eight key tasks, including accelerating the transformation of new energy, introducing ecological business into the dealer system, and increasing the share of traditional business. General Manager Wu Xibin said that the achievements in the first half of the year are inseparable from the support of all parties and the hard work of all employees.

In the future, Foton Motor will uphold the concept of "openness, collaboration, sharing and win-win" to build an industrial ecosystem. Executive Deputy General Manager Lu Zhenghua presided over the commendation ceremony of outstanding dealers and awarding of strategic and core investors. A number of honors were awarded to outstanding dealers on the spot, and 70 strategic and core investors were awarded plaques to build a value development community together.

In addition, the conference site was full of highlights. Foton Motor displayed 58 exhibition vehicles, covering a variety of engine types such as pure electric, diesel, LNG, hydrogen energy, and HEV. The three exhibition cars in the comprehensive assisted driving exhibition area realized the autonomous operation of the terminal scene, and the commercialization process of L4 technology was accelerated; the new energy exhibition area Aiyike three-electric technology empowers pure electric models to achieve dual optimization of energy consumption and carrying capacity. There are also unmanned sweepers with a load of 0.5 tons, self-driving minibuses with a length of 6 meters, and 6 personalized models in the modified life exhibition area, showing Foton's exploration achievements in technological innovation and product diversification.

Foton Motor is taking the 2025 China Chamber of Commerce as a new starting point and making great strides towards "world-class".
